Local SEO capabilities

Local search, measured live.

OrbitRank GenO runs 15 local search modules on live data — the Google listing as Google shows it, Search Console, live SERP and map-pack checks, Google Analytics 4, and real answers from live AI engines. It reports what it measured and leaves out what it did not.

This page exists so the capability list can be read from outside the product. The working modules live inside the platform, on a client's own business profile.

Diagnosis

Local Audit

Scores a business's local presence area by area and names the failing item, so the fix is specific rather than a grade.

Shared diagnosis

Joins local search findings and AI-visibility findings at the record level — same business, same market — to show which defect is behind both. Operator-facing; never blended into a client number.

Presence

GBP Optimizer

Reads the live Google listing (name, category, address, phone, hours, photos, rating, review count), scores completeness from what Google actually shows, and drafts the description, categories, attributes, posts, Q&A and photo plan to fill the gaps.

NAP checker

Holds the canonical name, address and phone, compares them platform by platform, and states the exact correction.

Citations

Checks each directory listing live and records what the page returned — which of name, address and phone matched, or why the page could not be read.

Reviews

Imports the business's real reviews, flags unanswered ones, and drafts owner replies for review before publishing.

Search and content

Keywords

Beside each keyword: Search Console position, impressions and clicks where Google has data, plus a live organic position and live map-pack position where it does not — with intent, cluster and the page that should target it.

Pages

Plans and builds the local landing pages a market needs, one page per service and place rather than one page hoping to cover all.

Content engine

Generates blog posts, Google posts, FAQ pages and review requests from the business's own details, then quality-checks them before they are published.

Schema

Generates LocalBusiness structured data from the business record, so the markup and the listing never contradict each other.

Competitors

Measures named competitors on the same keywords — organic and map-pack position — and lists the strengths to match and the gaps to take.

AI and map visibility

GEO optimizer

Tests real buyer prompts against live AI engines per market and records two separate facts: whether the business page was cited as a source, and whether the business was named at all. Includes a ready-to-publish llms.txt.

Grid ranks

Measures rankings across a geographic grid centred on a chosen market, not just the business pin — so you see where you actually rank, block by block, in organic and in the map pack.

Execution

Plan

Turns the findings into a 30, 60 and 90 day plan of specific tasks, tracked to done — not a roadmap document nobody opens.

Measurement

Outcomes

Reads Google Analytics 4 traffic and key events for the property you nominate, and records the actions visitors actually take on your site — call taps, enquiry forms, WhatsApp, directions, bookings — through a tracking snippet keyed to your business.

The rules every figure follows

Most local tools report a visibility percentage computed from a handful of checks. These are the rules we hold ourselves to instead, published so you can check our numbers against them.

A percentage needs a sample

Below 20 live answers we show the count, not a rate — "7 of 14 answers checked", never "50% visible". Above 20 we show both the percentage and the number of answers behind it.

Not measured is not zero

A market with no engine answer is reported as not sampled, with the reason. It is never recorded as 0%, because zero would be a claim we did not make.

No composite scores

AI citations, local search positions, website traffic and AI referrals are reported as separate numbers. We do not blend them into one index, because a blend invents a relationship the data does not show.

Every figure names its source and window

Each number sits beside where it came from and the period it covers — Search Console, a live SERP check, Google Analytics 4, or a live AI engine answer at a stated time.

AI referrals are a floor, not a total

We record an AI referral only when the visitor's browser sent an AI referrer, and we label it as a floor. Several AI apps strip the referrer entirely, so the true figure can only be higher.

Estimates are labelled as estimates

A live engine check and a web-researched estimate are different things and are marked differently. No result is presented as more verified than it is.

Evidence, not inference

Diagnosis states what was observed. It does not tell you what caused it — the move from observation to cause stays with the person who knows the business.

Where the numbers come from

  • The Google listing itself — category, hours, photos, rating and review count as Google shows them
  • Google Search Console — positions, impressions and clicks for the nominated property
  • Live SERP and map-pack checks — organic and map-pack position on Google page 1, market by market
  • Live AI engines — real answers to real buyer prompts, recorded as cited or named, per market
  • Google Analytics 4 — sessions and key events for the property you nominate
  • Your own site — call, form, WhatsApp and directions actions, keyed to your tracking snippet
